sugar sensitive -- 2003-04-28 Well, that last entry was very sombre. I didn't feel like leaving it up there, so I've deleted it. Some things are still very painful. In other news, I have been reading RadiantRecovery, a website by Kathleen Des Maisons who wrote "Potatoes not Prozac" and "Your Last Diet: A Sugar Addicts Guide". It has support groups, advice and hints from her books, all about sugar sensitivity. Why? Because I am seriously seriously thinking about giving up sugar. For lots of reasons, mostly though because of my lethargic, emotional temperament and depression. Sugar exacerbates all of them! What I hope to do is give it up slowly and methodically, first in coffee, then in soda, then in goodies, then in everything. I would like to be a new person, physically. I am giving myself a year to do this! Apparently after giving it up, people who are sugar-sensitive feel 100% better. God, that's appealing, even if my withdrawal from sugar will be an ugly process.
