gotta find me a job -- 2003-02-28 To answer aclevername's question "what happened about Marnie and the dance", I'll tell you that we are now completely on track with our friendship. She didn't apologize for pressuring me to sit at the door collecting tickets, but after the email I wrote, it was clear that I wasn't going to do it anyway, that I respected myself and my boundaries. So it was fine. She called me the next night, before the dance, to ask if I was going, and I told her I didn't know. She was fine with that, and I think promptly forgot about it. As for my rant about my job yesterday, it's all moot now because I'm not working there any longer. I hated it and was going to quit at the end of the shift yesterday when my boss called me in and said she didn't think it was working out. Good. But not, because now I'm unemployed again, and have to find another part-time job soon. Sucks to be me. Again.
