allergic lesbians? -- 2002-12-23 Merry Christmas Everybody! I've got a cold and am feeling pretty crappy, but tonight I had a nice night with my family (surprise surprise!). Sue, Mom and I took the dog out for a walk around 9 p.m., and the night air was so crisp and fresh. Then we came back and had a game of Queens. And my brother played too! He doesn't usually take part in things like that, but he did tonight, which was totally fun. I wish he would hang out with us more, and if he cut the sarcasm it would be perfect. Made a few new friends at Joanne and Denise's party, and then we went out to the Zone (a gay bar here) for some dancing. I had a pretty good time, although the smoke killed me! Anyway, I was out with Marnie, a great and cute girl that I've just connected with (met her on GayCanada). It's been fun, but I'm not sure there is going to more than friendship between us. I would have liked there to be, but get this. She has 7 animals! 4 cats, 2 dogs and a turtle. Minus the turtle this means hell for me. Two of the cats are her mother's (she is sick and needed Marnie to take them for awhile), but when it's that many it doesn't matter. I'm allergic, and I know I can't spend more than an hour at her place. It is so disappointing. Practically every lesbian I know has at least one cat. It's kind of a running joke now, because I'm allergic, and the past two girlfriends I've had have had pets. But geez, it can't be as bad a stereotype as it seems! Where are the other allergic lesbians? :) God grant me patience.
