I like my job -- 2002-10-22 Worked all day today at my new job. McNally Robinson is a phenomenal bookstore, for those who have had the pleasure of visiting one of its stores -(Winnepeg, Calgary, Saskatoon, and soon Edmonton). It's an independent, fabulous, nothing at all like the evil chains. And each bookseller is hired because of his/her knowledge in a particular category. Which is so exciting because there are all these experts around. I mean, there are three people who have M.A.'s there. And the good thing is, I get 32 hours this week. So it may not be the most high-paying job I could get, but it's going to pay the bills, thank god. I miss Karmen so much. I only got to see her for an hour and a half over Thanksgiving weekend, and our plans for the past weekend fell through, so now I have to wait until probably Saturday to see her. I hate this. I know I'm supposed to be okay with it, because we are in the new stages of a relationship, and I don't want to rush things, but it would be nice if I could see her a little more. I feel like we could really grow as a couple with more face-to-face talking. I hate the phone, and I don't feel like I can share with her as much as in person. Plus, when I'm on the phone I can't stroke her hair, arm, forehead...
